Mr. Norton joined TMG Consulting in the summer of 2008. He has been involved in planning projects for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport facilities. He also works on other program management activities of the Airport.
Mr. Norton began his career working on large engineering projects for a defense contractor in the Washington, D.C. area. After graduate school in California, he worked briefly for an evidence-based urban design consultant firm in London, UK. Using proprietary analysis tools, he worked on several private and public planning projects creating and analyzing spatial accessibility maps. Mr. Norton returned to Los Angeles and worked for a transportation consulting firm preparing and delivering a range of transportation studies for government and private development projects.
A New Orleans native, Mr. Norton moved back in 2007 where he worked for a short while for the City’s Recovery Office initially creating a sustainable transportation plan and then program development to support fresh food retailing and production. During that time, he also participated in the Rockefeller sponsored Urban Redevelopment program, led by University of Pennsylvania’s Urban and Regional Planning school, to build capacity in post-Katrina New Orleans.
